Mortar

o integrated Marine Corp crew drills and weapon system familiarization into training plan; resulted in a cross-trained mortar platoon for the battalion

o qualified section mortar team first time go during gunnery

o served as a 240B Machine Gunner providing over watch for the 10 man dismounted element conducting reconnasaince and atmospherics in the Mirabad Valley

o served with distinction on two combat tours as a member of Bravo Company and was critical to Renegade Company's success during OIF 07-09 and OEF 10-11

o earned the Combat Infantryman Bagde, the Coveted Air Assault Badge, two Army Commendation Medals and an Army Achievement Medal

o performed above his skill level when he coordinated fires and calling for and adjusting artillery rounds during the 3rd BCT JOAX

Section Sergeant

o was selected to instruct three Iraqi Army Mortar Platoons on the capabilities and operation of 120mm mortar system

o trained over 140 Iraqi Army Mortarmen on basic mortar knowledge and FDC procedures in Support of Operation Iraqi Ftreedom

RTO
