His professional conduct under heavy enemy fire during the skirmish in Baghdad quadrant B ensured mission accomplishment, the survival of his fellow soldiers, and the principles of democracy they fight to uphold. His bravery is in keeping with the finest traditions of military heroism and reflect great credit upon himself, this command, and the United States Army.
