Prime Power Supervisor 12P4O
Supervises the deployment, installation, operation, and maintenance of utility grade power systems; trains section to isolate and repair complex malfunctions utilizing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting techniques; supervises assessments of electrical distribution systems and facilities; supervises QA/QC operations for contracted electrical projects and equipment; deploys in support of the war fighter and the National Response Plan; responsible for $4,000,000 worth of MTOE tools and equipment.




Senior Power Plant Operator 12P3O
Supervises, operates, installs and maintains electrical power plants, distribution systems and associated auxiliary equipment; trains, tasks and supervises section personnel; responsible for the professional development, morale and welfare of the section; responsible for $500,000 worth of MTOE tools and equipment; provides quality assurance and quality control on electrical projects, equipment, and contract personnel; deploys in support of the Warfighter and the National Response Plan.




Senior Power Station Mechanic 12P3OS2 (Line CO)
Supervises the installation, operation, and maintenance of utility grade power systems; trains soldiers to isolate and repair complex malfunctions, utilizing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting techniques; determines the repair/overhaul required, cost effectiveness and method of accomplishment for power plant equipment and associated systems; assists in QA/QC operations; designs power distribution systems; responsible for $500,000 worth of MTOE tools and equipment; deploys in support of the Warfighter and the National Response Plan.

MOS 12P - Prime Power Production Specialist

Major Duties. The prime power production specialist performs electrical assessments, facilities maintenance, and QA/QC operations; supervises, operates, installs and performs DS/GS level maintenance on electric power plants consisting of prime power generator sets of 500 KW and higher and associated auxiliary systems and equipment; serves as LNO and technical advisor to FEMA and other federal organizations. Duties for MOS 12P at each level of skill are:

MOSC 12P10. Assists with the operation and maintenance of electrical power plants; performs mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation functions as necessary during the installation and preparation of power station equipment during initial startup; assists with the assessments of electrical distribution systems and facilities; troubleshoots and repairs power generating equipment and associated system components.

MOSC 12P20. Supervises the operation and maintenance of electrical power plants; performs mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation functions necessary to install and prepare power station equipment for initial startup; analyzes plant equipment and system operating characteristics to determine operational condition; supervises and performs electrical assessments of electrical distribution systems and facilities; repairs or overhauls generating equipment and associated system components.

MOSC 12P30. Supervises the installation, operation, and maintenance of prime power plants and associated systems and equipment; directs preparation of power plant equipment for movement, storage, and installation; serves as technical inspector to determine faulty operation or maintenance practices; determines and isolates complex malfunctions utilizing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting techniques; supervises electrical assessments of electrical distribution systems and facilities; assists in QA/QC operations for electrical projects, equipment, and contract personnel; determines repair or overhaul required, cost effectiveness, and method of accomplishment for power plant equipment and associated systems.

MOSC 12P40. Supervises personnel and the installation, operation, unit level and direct support maintenance of electrical power plants; coordinates, plans, and schedules team activities; plans for the use, movement, and siting of electrical power plants; estimates manpower, equipment, and material necessary to accomplish installation of power station and construction of associated systems; advises subordinate personnel on prime power equipment use, siting, operation and maintenance; manages electrical projects; develops and implements safety programs and serves as LNO for echelons above Corps; supervises QA/QC operations for electrical projects, equipment, and contract personnel.
