Firefighter
Conducts rescue and firefighting operations during fires, aircraft and vehicle accidents, and natural disasters; provides and performs emergency response for hazardous materials incidents; assists law enforcement and medical personnel when necessary; maintains lifesaver qualification; provides first aid to injured personnel; tests hydrant and fire suppression systems and alarms; maintains records and reports; operates and performs operator level maintenance on equipment and vehicles;
12M2O Lead Firefighter
Serves as a Lead Firefighter for a Modular Ammunition Company; directly responsible for the overall management and accountability of two fully equipped fire trucks and ten sets of firefighting gear with associated equipment valued in excess of $1.3 million; responsible for the development, execution, and proficiency sustainment of the company firefighting section training; directly responsible for the overall management, supervision, training, professional development, health, and welfare of six Soldiers.
Senior Firefighter
Oversees firehouse operations; maintains personnel training and qualifications; educates base agencies on risks and fire resources; conducts fire prevention operations including routine, recurring inspections and pre-fire planning; analyzes vulnerabilities and hazards and develops plans to mitigate potential damage; coordinates with all agencies to identify hazardous materials and risks; prepares for hazardous materials emergency response; tests hydrant and alarm systems; conducts initial fire investigations.
