Duty Descriptions

46V20 Video Teleconference (VTC) Technician
Serves as a Video Teleconference (VTC) Technician and Coordinator for the 8th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) supporting four separate brigades; responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of VTC systems in the 8th TSC Headquarters; coordinates scheduled and unscheduled VTCs; ensures VTC calendars are updated; operates and supports all audio/visual (A/V) needs within the command; provides technical guidance and assistance to subordinate commands.


Visual Information Officer
Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for still and video imagery, graphic layout and design, high-volume printing, imagery software and equipment, and communications platforms and formats in support of operations, training and recruiting; advises commanders and staff on product concept development; provides expertise for imagery acquisition, illustration, production, printing, and distribution; supports communication planning; develops annexes and appendices to operations orders; assists with audio/visual contract management; manages Soldier development in all aspects of imagery acquisition and production.


46V30 Visual Information Specialist
Operates special graphics equipment including graphic imaging systems, copy cameras, and serigraphic, printing, duplicating and processing equipment; sets up, positions, synchronizes, and operates various types of cameras, projectors, video and audio equipment, monitors, video teleconference, digital interface, computers, and multimedia equipment; selects lenses, screens, or television monitors according to viewing distance, medium type, ambient light, and audience size; positions microphones, records proceedings, and arranges viewing or conference areas;


46V20 Visual Information Specialist
Plans and prepares graphic images, special displays, and exhibits; develops graphic products for direct viewing, printing, and reproduction, photography and projection, and televised presentation; prepares artwork for use in series or to achieve graphic animation and special effects; compiles and depicts data using various media, drawing instruments, and electronic equipment; employs visual elements and principles of composition including style, balance, contrast, tone, and color.






MOS 46V - Visual Information Specialist

Major Duties. Operates audio visual equipment to combine text, sound, photo, animation, video, and graphics into a multimedia product in support of combat documentation, battlefield operations, Psychological Operations, Military Intelligence, Medical, Public Affairs and training functions; operates broadcast, collection, television production, video teleconferencing and distribution equipment; creates illustrations, layouts, map overlays, posters, graphs, charts, and internet web pages; performs unit level maintenance on assigned equipment and PMCS on assigned vehicles and generators.

MOSC 46V10. Operates motion, still, and studio television cameras; operates electronic based processing, editing, audio, and printing equipment; prepares captions for documentation images; creates multimedia presentations and prepares graphic products using manual and electronic equipment; performs unit level maintenance on assigned equipment and PMCS on assigned vehicles and generators.

MOSC 46V20. Supervises and provides technical guidance to subordinate documentation or production team members; directs the manipulation and enhancement of images; determines media, style, design and technical requirements for subordinates to create, sequence, and develop visual information presentation products; determines and develops sequence and manner of presentation of products; aligns and adjusts video cameras; prepares video reports for review by commanders and planning staff; monitors, operates, and performs unit level maintenance on master control and still video transmission systems.

MOSC 46V30. Performs as team leader of visual information documentation teams; supervises personnel and plans operational workload and priority for creating, manipulating, and integrating visual information products; determines documentation and/or production equipment and systems mission support requirements; coordinates and directs personnel and operational requirements to produce audiovisual, audio, and television productions in both fixed and tactical environments.
