Brigade Chemical Officer
Brigade Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Officer for an Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade in direct support to III Armored Corps; plans, coordinates, and directs CBRN operations and training within the Brigade to include CBRN vulnerability assessments, CBRN reconnaissance, CBRN decontamination, and CBRN force protection; instructs CBRN skills at Brigade and Battalion levels; serves as a CBRN advisor to subordinate and adjacent units; additionally serves as Brigade Unit Status Report (USR) OIC, Brigade Operation Inspection Program (OIP) OIC, and Brigade Anti-Terrorism Officer.
Brigade CBRN S-3 NCOIC
Serves as the Brigade CBRN S-3 NCOIC of a Heavy Brigade Combat Team; responsible for establishing and supervising Brigade CBRN training, battle tracks and plots all CBRN information during combat operations, and missions as a Tactical Operations Center (TOC) Operations NCOIC; advises and estimates the CBRN defensive posture; advises and assists units with CBRN maintenance, accountability for seven CBRN sections; monitors CBRN readiness for subordinate units through command inspections; training evaluations. Member of a highly specialized team with a worldwide, no-notice mission to identify, sample, render safe, mitigate, package and conduct technical escort of chemical and biological (C/B) material; support the crisis/consequence management of C/B incidents for host nations, local, state and federal agencies, and theater combatant commanders; responsible for the training, welfare, and professional development of 2 soldiers and the maintenance and accountability of $600,000 worth of team equipment.
Battalion NBC supervisor
Serves as Battalion NBC supervisor; supervises and monitors all Nuclear, Biological and Chemical training within the organization; ensures operational readiness, improved inspection results and directly responsible for over $75,000 worth of equipment; serves as primary advisor to supervising personnel; monitors and evaluates NBC teams; develops and implements unit Standard Operating Procedures; provides pre-deployment and deployment NBC equipment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; leads and manages NBC teams through comprehensive and intensive training programs and provides guidance to newly assigned personnel; provides security for personnel and convoy protection; serves as HAZMAT certifier for the Central Command Area of Operation.
