Allied Trade Specialist Supervisor
Serves as an Allied Trade Specialist Supervisor in a Field Maintenance Company, 710th Brigade Support Battalion, 3D Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI), Forward Deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom XIV-VX; supervises the overall daily mission of the Service and Recovery section (S&R) proving direct support for FOB Shank units including recovery support and the fabrication, repair, and modification of metallic and nonmetallic parts; accountable for organizational and theater provided equipment valued at $2,361,581; responsible for the health, morale, welfare, professional development, and discipline of one NCO and six Soldiers.
91E30 Machinist
Fabricates, repairs, and modifies metallic and nonmetallic parts, utilizing such machines as engine lathes, utility grinders, power cutoff saws, armature undercutters, arbor and hydraulic presses, drill presses, and their associated attachments, accessories, and tools. Supervises lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties.

a. Major duties. The allied trades specialist supervises and performs the fabrication, repair and modifications of metallic and nonmetallic parts and supervises metalworking shop activities. Duties for MOS 91E at each level of skill are:
(1) MOSC 91E1O. Fabricates, repairs, and modifies metallic and nonmetallic parts, utilizing such machines as engine lathes, utility grinders, power cutoff saws, armature under cutters, arbor and hydraulic presses, drill presses, oxyacetylene, electric arc, inert gas welding machines, and their associated attachments, accessories, and tools.
(2) MOSC 91E2O. Performs duties in preceding skill level; supervises junior grade Soldiers and provides technical guidance to the Soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties.
(3) MOSC 91E3O. Performs duties in preceding skill levels; supervises junior grade Soldiers and provides technical guidance to the Soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties; supervises recovery operations and inspects completed work.
