42A50 Current Operations NCOIC
Serves as the current operations NCOIC for the demobilization and Transitioning Operation Center; provides guidance and support to deployed units and transient individual Soldiers; liaisons between demobing units and Fort Hood enterprises; conducts In-Progress Reviews (IPR) calls with deployed units; updates flight tracker; prepares and distributes Commander's Extract Report daily; updates Division West Report daily; tracks demobilization requirements; drafts and processes ETP requests; conducts analysis and assessment of information; advises command team on demob updates; monitors all traffic; updates weather and road conditions; monitors group email traffic and answer RFIs from units; responsible for the welfare, management and development of 10 NCOs.

Coordinates battalion activities that are between four and six weeks of execution; facilitates the transition between Plans and Current Operations; coordinates with other S3 staff to ensure the same common operating picture (COP); allocates resources during plans and operations and ensures units provide necessary support requirements when and where required; plans tactical troop movements, including route selection, priority of movement, timing, security, bivouacking, quartering, staging, and preparing movement orders.
