2nd Platoon Trainer
For exceptionally meritorious service while assigned to the Army National Guard GED Plus Program. Staff Sergeant Watkins' display of pride, professionalism, and dedication to duty contributed to over 2,500 students obtaining their GED during his tenure. Sergeant Watkins consistently instilled teamwork and motivation into student enlistees resulting in the Army National Guard GED Plus Program achieving an unprecedented 97 percent pass rate. The accomplishments of Staff Sergeant Watkins reflect great credit upon himself, the 137th Infantry Regiment, the Kansas Army National Guard and the United States Army.
RSP GED Cadre
Meritorious service while serving as RSP GED Cadre. During this period, as RSP GED Cadre, Staff Sergeant Strongbow demonstrated outstanding determination to accomplish one hundred percent of the mission. Because of his determination, the class of 10 soldiers that would have been lost due to education shortfalls was saved. Not only were they saved, but for the first time in three years, one hundred percent of the class passed their GED test. Without the efforts and personal time devoted to the soldiers this would not have been possible. He instilled the discipline needed and balanced it with showing that he cared about the soldiers. Staff Sergeant Strongbow's commitment to the KSARNG and the NCO Creed reflect credit upon himself, the Kansas Army National Guard and the United States Army.
GED Plus Program Cadre
For exceptionally meritorious achievement while assigned as cadre for the LTG Clyde A. Vaughn GED Plus Program from 11 September 2007 Through 27 August 2009. Sergeant McCain's dedication, professionalism, and pride in duty contributed to 2,500 student enlistees obtaining their GED during his tenure. Sergeant McCain consistently instilled teamwork, motivation, and discipline into the student warriors, and, as a result of his actions, the LTG Clyde A. Vaughn GED Plus Program achieved a 97% pass rate, exceeding mission requirements. Sergeant McCain's extraordinary efforts and accomplishments during this period reflect great credit upon himself, the LTG Clyde A. Vaughn GED Plus Program and the United States Army.
GED Plus Program Staff
Professional achievement while supporting the GED Plus Program. During this period, Sergeant Young contributed to the successful clearing and turning over to the State of Arkansas, buildings 16419 and 16502. Sergeant Young ensured that the GED Plus Program met the end date goal for moving into new GED Plus complex within two days. In addition, he provided safe transportation of office furniture and supplies from Roosevelt Hall and building 4600 and assisted in the set up and organization of the new GED Plus complex, to include supporting an open house. The accomplishments of Sergeant Young bring great credit upon himself, the Arkansas Army National Guard and the United States Army.
