Best Squad Competition
SSG Walker led the planning efforts for the 116th MI Brigade's first Best Squad Competition, where he was recognized by brigade leadership for his planning and organizational skills. His understanding of the event's content and sequence of events was indispensable to the competition's planning and its subsequent success as he trained and mentored 25 junior NCOs across the battalion at the brigade echelon. He empowered these NCOs to conduct events and invited external evaluators from the NCO Academy and 3rd SFAB to eliminate bias and increase esprit de corps.

Best Warrior Competition Sponsor
Staff Sergeant Bostco mentored and prepared two soldiers to compete in the annual Best Warrior Competition resulting in one soldier receiving the 157th MEB Soldier of the Year and the other receiving 2nd place. Both individuals competed at the state level where they placed in the top five, receiving the state Deputy Adjutant General coin, the State Command Sergeants Major coin, and the Army Achievement medal. SSG Bostco mentored two soldiers on Army doctrine, introduced the competitors to the Appearance board, ensured the competitors were at the right place at the right time and in the proper uniform, ran each obstacle event next to the competitors for encouragement, requested mandatory items need for events, and ensured the behind the scenes logistics were in order for the 121st FA Battalion, 157th MEB, and Wisconsin State Soldier of the Year level competitions.

His vision, dedication, and commitment to excellence in training, conducting, and mentorship of The Best Warrior nominee enabled the Soldier to place second overall in Regional Competitions. His esprit de corps during the grueling preparation and training for the events was evident during and at the culmination of the competition. Outstanding achievement as the NCOIC for the Best Warrior Competion (BWC). He ensured that the training schedule met all requirements and was followed in a timely manner. He plotted and conducted the Land Naviagation Course and administered and graded the written exam. As the NCOIC for the BWC, he administered and ensured the integrity of the written exam. He inspected the Competitors' uniform for the board, was on the panel for the board, and transported the Competitors to and from the competition sites.
XXXXX distinguished himself during the 2BDE Best Warrior Competition, DSOY. He demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and fitness throughout the APFT, appearance board, land navigation, road march, and warrior tasks and drills. In addition, he excelled during the rigorous written test. Due to his preparation, drive, and proficiency, he separated himself from his peers and placed XX in the three day competition.

Exceptional performance in the Best Warrior Competition (BWC) for the 787TH Combat Sustainment Support Battalion. SPC Goodman competed at the highest level and was the first place winner in the Enlisted category by a landslide and was the overall winner for the Battalion against NCOs and Enlisted alike. SPC Goodman scored in the top two percent or higher in every event of the BWC throughout the four days of competition.
While assigned to 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company 266th QM Battalion as an IET student, PVT Gomer was selected by the Battalion Sergeant Major to be recognized for his exceptional efforts while supporting the Best Warrior Competition. His professionalism represented the 266th Quartermaster Battalion favorably and contributed to a successful and competitive event.
Sergeant Costner served as cadre for the FY18 Regional Dental Health Command-Atlantic Best Warrior Competition. He was instrumental in evaluating the candidates' physical conditioning, Warrior Tasks, Land Orienteering, EST Weapon proficiency, and individual knowledge in order to select the best candidate as the Regional Dental Health Command Best Warrior for the NCO and Junior Enlisted.
Exceptional and outstanding achievement in representing Charlie Company during the 3rd Brigade's 2015 Best Warrior Competion from 8 March 2015 to 10 March 2015. Staff Sergeant Aiken's outstanding performance in achieving a score of 300 on the Physical Fitness Test and dedication to performance reflects great credit upon himself, 1-320th Regiment, 3rd Brigade, the 98th Training Division (IET) and the United States Army.
