Meritorious service while serving as Data Collection Team NCOIC, 16th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 47th Combat Engineers, Fort Wainwright, Alaska from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, the outstanding professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Staff Sergeant Nancy Collins resulted in major contributions to the effectiveness and success of six extensive Network Integration Evaluations (NIE). As the platoon sergeant of the Data Collection Team during NIE 14.2., she managed over one million dollars of equipment and resources and a team of 19 Soldiers. During this important assignment, her outstanding leadership and devotion to duty were instrumental factors in the resolution of many problems during the data collection of the Joint Battle Command Platform (JBC-P) system being tested for 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division and the Army. Staff Sergeant Collins' performance is in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflects great credit upon herself, 16th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 47th Combat Engineer Division and the United States Army.
Outstanding achievement as a data collection test lead, National Assessment Group, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Kirtland Air Force Base, from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, Staff Sergeant Javier supported a 21 day Operational Test of a complex Radio Frequency (RF) system and coordinated the secure transportation of sensitive collection equipment valued at over $100,000. Using his in-depth knowledge of RF Technology and wave propagation, he selected and established a data collection site, leading to the successful collection of hundreds of gigabytes of test data for vulnerability analysis. In addition, Staff Sergeant Javier organized the data into manageable elements, making it possible for analysts to perform the most in-depth vulnerability analysis to date. Staff Sergeant Javier's relentless efforts and dedication to duty are in keeping with the finest traditions of the Army and reflect great credit upon himself, the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center and the United States Army.
