During this period, the outstanding professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Master Sergeant Paul Pelosi resulted in signicant contributions to the effectiveness and success of the Air Force Space Command History Program. As a reserve augmentee, Master Sergeant Pelosi was a contributing author to the MAJCOM History which was awarded the 2014 Bryce Poe Award for Best MAJCOM History in the Air Force. In addition, he authored and published a variety of articles describing space support and emphasized the cyberspace mission transition and key historical space events. Moreover, Sergeant Pelosi identified and reallocated unused space textbooks, saving the Air Force over $125K in one fiscal year. Finally, he was recognized by the Command Historian for his tireless efforts in reorganizing the MAJCOM archives and was cited by the Air Force History Office vice-commander for organizing the best joint-MAJCOM history conference ever held. The distinctive accomplishments of Master Sergeant Pelosi reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Air Force.
FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS THE OFFICER IN CHARGE, TACTICS READINESS AND TRAINING, 3D MARINE LOGISTICS GROUP, FROM JUNE 2017 TO JULY 2020. CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW'S INSPIRING LEADERSHIP AND PERSONAL INITIATIVE WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN PRESERVING THE INTEGRITY OF THE UNIT'S HISTORY AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS. AS THE COMMAND HISTORIAN, HE COMPLETED SIX COMMAND CHRONOLOGIES THAT ACCURATELY DOCUMENTED THE HISTORICAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE ENTIRE THIRD MARINE LOGISTICS GROUP. ADDITIONALLY, HIS EXCEPTIONAL PLANNING SKILLS ENABLED 3D MLG TO PLAN, COORDINATE, AND EXECUTE TWO MARINE CORPS COMBAT READINESS EXERCISES IN FOUR MONTHS AS WELL AS ESTABLISH THE FOUNDATION FOR THE REST OF 3D MLG TO COMPLETE ALL REMAINING UNITS BY THE END OF FISCAL YEAR 2020, AHEAD OF ALL OTHER III MEF SUBORDINATE COMMANDS. CAPTAIN SPARROW'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
