For outstanding achievement while serving as crewmember, Delta Battery, 5th Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery Regiment deployed to Israel supporting the 357th Air & Missile Defense Detachment (FWD) mission from March 2009 through April 2009. Specialist Jason Wood's hard work, selfless service, and committment to excellence were instrumental in the success of the Security Force Mission. Specialist Wood's professionalism, initiative, and outstanding duty performance reflect great credit upon himself, Delta battery 5/7th ADA, the 357th Air and Missile Defense Detachment, and the United States Army.
Sergeant Wood represented Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command at the 5th Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery Soldier of the Month Board. He volunteered to attend, prepared for, and succeeded in securing recognition as the Soldier of the Month, receiving laudatory remarks from the President of the Board and Board Members. Sergeant Wood's actions serve as an example for his peers to follow and extends the command's influence across all echelons of the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command.
