CW2 Plaice consistently displayed superior technical expertise as a Pilot in Command of the AH 64E Guardian Apache during his time in A/1-229. His skills facilitated his participation in six aerial gunneries, three Pacific Pathways missions, and an NTC rotation. CW2 Plaice's influence inside and out of the cockpit transcends international boarders and significantly enhanced the unit's operational effectiveness, readiness, and partner capacity within the INDOPACOM AOR. CW2 Plaice played a pivotal role in 1-229 Attack Battalion Out-of-Contact Attack. He assisted with planning and preparation of the mission, as well as mentoring his subordinates. CW2 Plaice continues to set high standards for attack aviation.




Meritorious service while serving as UH-60M Blackhawk Maintenance Test Pilot, 2d Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, CW2 Daniel Boone distinguished himself as a chief warrant officer by demonstrating great initiative and sacrifice throughout the entirety of this fiscal year. He spent over 18 weeks completing two rigorous courses: The Aviation Maintenance officer course and the UH-60M Model Maintenance Test Pilot Course. He then went above and beyond by providing 24/7 Medical Evacuation support to the entire BSA operation in the stead of a pilot-in-command who got seriously injured on duty.




CW3 Dickle deployed to Afghanistan to provide on-call, on-demand, and scheduled MEDEVAC operations, to include live hoist operations in mountainous terrain. In addition to conducting these operations during Day, Night, and Night Vision Goggle conditions, CW3 executed flights in desert, high altitude, and high threat environments.

CW3 Dickle flew over 100 successful missions and logged over 200 combat flight hours while deployed to Afghanistan. As an Instructor Pilot and Instrument Examiner on the UH/HH-60 A/L, CW3 Dickle was responsible for the safe training and combat operational readiness of 120 Soldiers, 6 HH-60L aircraft, and 9 UH-60L aircraft valued at over $250 million.

CW3 Dickle successfully planned, implemented, and adjusted flight training and course material to meet the needs of individual Army Aviators to include training and evaluation in IMC conditions.

CW3 Dickle volunteered on short notice to serve as a Pilot in Command for a company DCRF mission, in charge of a flight crew ready to respond within 24 hours of emergency notification.

In addition to this, CW3 Dickle was selected ahead of his peers to represent F/5-159 during a DCRF exercise at Fort A. P. Hill as the MEDEVAC Standardization Liaison. During his tenure at F/5-159, CW3 Dickle successfully orchestrated the Publications and FLIP program, served as ALSE Officer ensuring that essential ALSE equipment was inspected and available, filled the role of Unit Movement Officer and Aircraft Load Planner.
