MOS 15X, AH-64A Armament & Electrical Systems Repairer, changed to MOS 15Y, AH‑64D Armament/Electrical/Avionics Repairer
FOR EXCEPTIONALLY MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE ASSIGNED AS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN IN SUPPORT OF THE FLEXIBLE ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM (FEDS) BRANCH, CORPUS CHRISTI ARMY DEPOT, FROM JULY 2016 TO AUGUST 2019. DURING THIS PERIOD, STAFF SERGEANT JUAN C. JAVIER DEMONSTRATED THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF PROFESSIONALISM, LEADERSHIP, AND DEVOTION TO DUTY WHILE SERVING AS THE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT FOR FEDS SITES, FEDS GPC CREDIT CARD MANAGER, ASSISTANT COLLATERAL SAFETY, AND SECURITY OFFICER. SERGEANT JAVIER OFTEN PERFORMED BACK TO BACK TDY DEPLOYMENTS, THEREBY REDUCING THE FEDS OVERALL NON-MISSION CAPABLE RATE BY 35% FOR BOTH CONUS AND OCONUS LOCATIONS. DURING THE ANNUAL SAFETY AUDITS, HE ENSURED ALL PERSONNEL AND FACILITY STANDARDS WERE WITHIN COMPLIANCE WHICH RESULTED IN THE FEDS BRANCH RECEVING ZERO MAJOR FINDINGS AND NUMEROUS ACCOLADES. SERGEANT JAVIER'S COMMENDABLE PERFORMANCE IS IN KEEPING WITH THE FINEST TRADITIONS OF MILITARY SERVICE AND REFLECTS CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE CORPUS CHRISTI ARMY DEPOT AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
Meritorious service while serving as a maintenance mechanic, Company B, 602nd Aviation Support Battalion, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXXX. During this period, Private First Class Ryan's timely and efficient actions ensured critical aircraft were returned to their owning units on schedule and fully mission capable. He participated in and supported three extensive and complex 500 Hour AH-64 phase maintenance actions. In addition, Private Ryan supported other battalions to augment their personnel and ensure their mission readiness. He helped the 17th Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Campbell with a 250 Hour phase evaluation and also assisted C Company, 602nd Aviation Support Battalion with installing radios for the field. His professional skill and knowledge aided immeasurably in identifying and repairing equipment failures and sustaining mission capabilities in the Pacific area of operation. The sterling accomplishments of Private Ryan reflect great credit upon himself, the 602nd Aviation Support Battalion and the United States Army.
