Outstanding achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as Power Distribution Specialist, 20th Expeditionary Special Operations Squadron, 1st Expeditionary Special Operations Group, Joint Special Operations Air Component Central, Djibouti, from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXX. During this period, Staff Sergeant Talmadge supported the Office of Security Cooperation (OSC), U.S. Embassy Kampala by analyzing and correcting a variety of electrical problems in the Cooperation Security Location (CSL) and the buildings located within. After identifying the problems, he assigned priorities and began repairing as many electrical faults as he could, eventually restoring 11 living containers, one abolition unit, a shower unit, a large warehouse, a classroom complex, a water pump, air conditioning units, and numerous power distribution points. His efforts were indispensable to restoring services during a time of unprecedented peak power requirements of the facility with the ongoing C-17 Echo Casemate operation, the CV-22 recovery-ABDR effort of Oaken Sonnet underway, the USMC Crisis Response Team on standby for all events, and numerous visiting representatives from U.S. Army Africa, the Horn of Africa, and African Command. None of these missions would have been successful were it not for his efforts supporting the contingency Life Support Area (LSA) the CSL was turned into. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Talmadge reflect great credit upon himself, the 20th Expeditionary Special Operations Squadron and the United States Air Force.
