SERGEANT FIRST CLASS JONES' AGGRESSIVE AND UNMATCHED WORK ETHIC ENABLED MISSION COMMAND FOR 789 NAVY SATCOM MISSIONS WITHIN THE 7TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS. HE DIRECTLY COORDINATED SIX SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS CUTOVER EVENTS SUPPORTING FOUR CARRIER STRIKE GROUPS INCLUDING ONE TRI-CARRIER OPERATIONS EVENT. HE WAS KEY TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TECHNICIAN EXCHANGE PROGRAM BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE ARMY AND NAVY TECHNICIANS EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING COMMUNICATION AND RELIABILITY BY FOSTERING A ONE-MISSION, ONE-TEAM CULTURE.




Outstanding achievement as Team Chief, 105th Communications Flight, from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, Master Sergeant David M. Parker led the quick response, accurate employment, and sustained operations of a 7-person Joint Interoperable Satellite Communications Console (JISCC) team in support of Hurricane's Irma and Maria, Saint Croix, United State Virgin Islands. While deployed, Sergeant Parker's team provided vital communications to three different airfield mission sets, enabling vital airlift of over 200 pallets and 2,000 pounds of food, water, and other life support equipment into the joint operations area, as well as critical medical evacuation of 88 civilian personnel. The distinctive accomplishments of Master Sergeant Parker reflect great credit upon himself, the 105th Communications Flight and the United States Army.




Meritorious service while serving as RF Transmission Systems Craftsman, 607th Support Squadron, Seventh Air Force, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXX. During this period, Staff Sergeant Dale Clarkton provided critical services as the focal point during a joint SATCOM architecture integration exercise. He enabled the extension of critical secure services for the transmission of time sensitive products to the 18th Marine Communications Group. Additionally, he maintained and operated $2.4M in tactical satellite communications equipment, providing 120 hours of uninterrupted C4I connectivity to four remote locations. His efforts established practices vital to the peninsula's tactical communications structure and sustained command and control. Finally, Staff Sergeant Clarkton was a key team member for Suwon Air Base's tactical communications site while participating in Exercise ULCHI FREEDOM GUARDIAN 2010, Pacific Command's largest command and control war gaming exercise. He provided the first-ever proof of concept by receiving Air Tasking Orders over the tactical satellite network, as his team garnered the Seventh Air Force Director of Communications "Outstanding Team" Award. The distinctive accomplishemnts of Sergeant Clarkton reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.




Meritorious service while serving as Lead Satellite Communications Supervisor, 1st Combat Communications Squadron, 435th Air and Space Communications Group, Rota Naval Air Station, Spain. Sergeant Lamar Troup demonstrated superb technical knowledge, professionalism, and skill in providing over 1,400 hours of uninterrupted satellite connectivity, enabling the collection of over 300,000 intelligence signals, the generation of 190 actionable intelligence reports, and supporting 156 Air Force and Navy personnel. In addition, Sergeant Troup's quick thinking and fast response led to the wiring of the unit's ground to air radio directly to the power of the aircraft launch and recovery vehicle, providing close ground support for 32 intelligence surveillance missions for the first time. The distinctive accomplishemnts of Sergeant Troup reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
