AS THE SOLE ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENCE OPERATOR ASSIGNED TO THE PACIFIC AIR OPERATIONS CENTER, SERGEANT VILLANUEVA ENHANCED THE CENTER'S INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS CAPABILITY BY INITIATING A TRAINING PROGRAM ON THE UNIT'S AUTOMATED ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS FOR SIX ELEMENT MEMBERS, INSTRUCTING PERSONNEL ON SYSTEM CAPABILITIES AND PROPER UTILIZATION, WHICH OPTIMIZED READINESS IN SUPPORT OF WARFIGHTERS AND DECISION MAKERS. DURING ESCALATING TENSIONS WITH NORTH KOREA, HE CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESSFUL MONITORING OF THE CRISIS BY PROVIDING REAL-TIME THREAT REPORTING AND ANALYSIS TO SENIOR LEADERS TO ENSURE THREAT WARNING AND SAFETY OF AIRCREW FOR OVER 20 SENSITIVE RECONNAISSANCE OPERATIONS. SERGEANT VILLANUEVA'S OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IS IN KEEPING WITH THE FINEST TRADITIONS OF MILITARY SERVICE AND REFLECT DISTINCT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE 501ST MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BRIGADE AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.




DURING THIS PERIOD, STAFF SERGEANT JAMES C. ALTHER PROVIDED TIME-CRITICAL INTELLIGENCE TO KEY STAFF AND HELPED MOVE 9TH AIR FORCE CLOSER TO BECOMING A JOINT TASK FORCE-CAPABLE HEADQUARTERS. IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL, HE STARTED MONITORING WORLD-WIDE CRISES AND PRESENTED THREAT WARNING AND ANALYSIS TO THE 9TH AIR FORCE COMMANDER AND KEY STAFF. SERGEANT ALTHER'S THOROUGH ANALYSIS AND INCLUSION OF ALL-SOURCE INTELLIGENCE PROVIDED SENIOR LEADERS WITH ESSENTIAL INFORMATION REQUIRED TO MAKE SOUND TACTICAL DECISIONS AND DEVELOP STRATEGIC PLANS. FURTHER, AS A KEY MEMBER OF THE INTELLIGENCE PLANNING TEAM, HE EXPERTLY SCRIPTED THE INTELLIGENCE SCENARIO, REQUIRING OVER 200 HOURS OF RESEARCH, RESULTING IN A BASELINE JOINT INTELLIGENCE PREPARATION OF THE OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT DOCUMENT FOR 30 EXERCISE PARTICIPANTS. HE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT THE JOINT PLANNING PROCESS BY PROVIDING INTELLIGENCE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE TO SATISFY REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION AND PROVIDE INPUT FOR PLAN DEVELOPMENT. SERGEANT ALTHER'S SUPERB ANALYSIS ENABLED TEAM MEMBERS TO DEVELOP AN APPROVED COURSE OF ACTION AND POSTURED THEATER FORCES TO BRING A PEACEFUL END TO THE CRISIS. STAFF SERGEANT ALTHER'S OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IS IN KEEPING WITH THE FINEST TRADITIONS OF MILITARY SERVICE AND REFLECT DISTINCT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE 3RD INTELLIGENCE SQUADRON AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.




Meritorious service while serving as Intelligence Analyst, Intelligence and Sustainment Company, 28th Infantry Division, from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXXX. As an All Source Intelligence Analyst, Sergeant Elaine Mayo provided a fused analytical product for the Division G2 on a regular basis and was the subject matter expert on CPOF operations. She briefed G2 daily on the current situation and as a result of her foresight, analytical competence and diligent work ethic, Sergeant Mayo was assigned as the lead analyst in conducting current operational tasks using Command Post of the Future. In addition, she demonstrated confidence in her leadership and athletic abilities and provided motivation and support for her team's effort to improve their physical fitness. Moreover, she was responsible for the daily welfare, training, discipline, and accountability of all soldiers assigned to her PT program. Sergeant Mayo's dedication and devotion to duty is in keeping with the finest traditions of the Army and reflects great credit upon herself, the 28th Infantry Division and the United States Army.

DURING THIS PERIOD, SPECIALIST SHERLOCK HOLMES' EXCEPTIONAL SKILLS AND TIRELESS EFFORTS CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESS OF THE 4TH BATTALION, 17TH INFANTRY REGIMENT S2 NIGHT CURRENT OPERATIONS. HIS ABILITY TO PRODUCE INTELLIGENCE PRODUCTS FOR THE COMPANY COMMANDERS PROVIDED AROUND THE CLOCK SITUATIONAL AWARENESS ENABLING THEM TO MORE EFFECTIVELY MANEUVER THEIR ELEMENTS AGAINST AN AGGRESSIVE ENEMY. ADDITIONALLY, HIS ATTENTION TO DETAIL TO SIGACT TRACKING PROVIDED THE BATTALION COMMANDER WITH NEAR REAL TIME UPDATES OF THE ENEMY SITUATION DURING ALL LEVELS OF OPERATIONS THROUGHOUT NETWORK INTEGRATION EVALUATION (NIE) 15.1. SPECIALIST HOLMES' OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IS IN KEEPING WITH THE FINEST TRADITIONS OF MILITARY SERVICE AND REFLECTS CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE 17th INFANTRY REGIMENT AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
