68S30 Team Leader

SGT _____ served as the Team 1 Team Leader for the 485th Medical Detachment. He advised the Detachment Sergeant on plans, policies, personnel actions and Family support issues in preparation for the Army's Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and high-yield Explosives (CBRNE) Response Force (DCRF). He was directly responsible for the health, discipline, morale and Esprit de Corps of two Soldiers and the accountability and maintenance of organizational equipment valued at over $200,000.

As the CBRNE NCO, SGT ____ personally conducted training in the operation of all CBRNE equipment resulting in 100% unit proficiency. His knowledge and guidance as the NCOIC of the CBRNE Situational Training Exercise contributed to the validation of ten Soldiers on 14 CBRNE related common tasks in support of the Army North Command DCRF mission. SGT ___ was responsible for the calibration and maintenance of CBRNE and team operating equipment valued at $43,000.

SGT ____ served as the Unit Administration NCO for the 485th Medical Detachment. His duties included Personnel Actions, Officer and Enlisted Evaluations, Promotions, Awards Processing, Finance and Military Personnel files ensuring 100% accountability of all records. He meticulously reviewed all Soldier actions and processed documentation without errors. His actions contributed to two NCOs being accepted to attend Airborne School and the AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program (AECP).




Medical Treatment NCO

Took initiative and drafted the final version of the Medical Tactical Standard operating procedure used by all units under the HHC 203rd Engineer Battalion for this deployment.




68S Preventive Medicine Specialist

SPC Snuffy displayed excellent knowledge and military bearing well beyond that of her level of responsibility, by briefing nine Base Camp Commanders, quarterly on their environmental and sanitary conditions of their base camps. SPC Snuffy provided real world solutions for smaller camps without resources, allowing camps to meet sanitary standards and bring morale up for the war fighters. SPC Snuffy completed forty ground movement missions to outlying Forward Operating Bases, making it possible for Soldiers in remote locations to receive preventive medicine services. Leaders could confidently send their Preventive Medicine concerns to her knowing they would have their questions answered in a timely and professional manner.

SPC Snuffy demonstrated exceptional capability while deployed as a Preventive Medicine Specialist for Afghanistan Task Force Med. She was responsible for managing the potable water quality assurance for Regional Command-Capital. She successfully maintained a working relationship with FLUOR Governmental Group, ensuring 13 base camps received adequate potable water supplies. SPC Snuffy tested all RC-Capital water bottles shipment, resulting in over 200 samples taken. SPC Snuffy was able to continually provide the highest level of service through constantly increasing her technical proficiency.





Detachment NCOIC

During this period, the professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Sergeant Young contributed to the effectiveness and success of the 452nd MED DET (Preventive Medicine). She researched, coordinated and established the tactical SOP which facilitated thorough base camp assesments and DFAC certifications for eight FOBs. During this time, she certified and maintained potable water tanks in support of over 10,000 joint and coaltion forces which contributed directly to mission success. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Young reflect credit on her, the 452nd MED DET, and the United States Army.




Program Manager

FOR SUPERIOR AND UNDAUNTING SERVICE AS THE PROGRAM MANAGER AND DATA ANALYST FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH CLINIC, DEPARTMENT OF PREVENTIVE MEDICINE, CRDAMC, FORT HOOD, TX FROM 10 OCTOBER 2013 TO 30 AUGUST 2015. HIS ANALYTICAL AND REPORTING SKILLS COUPLED WITH HIS KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT ACCESS AND EXCEL SOFTWARE AND A NEED FOR TRACKING PRODUCED THE FIRST OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SURVEILLANCE DATABASE EXISTING IN THE ARMY TODAY. THIS UNIQUE DATABASE ENSURED COMPLIANCE OF FORT HOOD GARRISON AND III CORPS CIVILIAN WORKFORCE WITH OSHA SAFETY REQUIREMENTS. HIS DEDICATION TO DUTY AND HEALTH CARE AND REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HIM, CRDAMC AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.




Preventive Medicine Technician

WHILE SERVING AS PREVENTIVE MEDICINE TECHNICIAN ABOARD COOPERATIVE SECURITY LOCATION GHANA, SPECIAL PURPOSE MARINE AIR GROUND TASK FORCE CRISIS-RESPONSE AFRICA FROM 15 MARCH 2015 - 15 MAY 2015. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER HEVENER PERFORMED 66 CAMP INSPECTIONS, DAILY BULK WATER TESTING, AND OVERSAW DAILY POLICE CALLS AND HYGEINE STATION PREPARATION WHICH REDUCED STANDING WATER AND DECREASED MOSQUITO BREEDING GROUNDS. IN ADDITION, HE CREATED INFORMATIONAL SIGNS TO EDUCATE 190 PERSONNEL ABOUT DISEASES AND THE DANGERS OF MOSQUITO BORNE DISEASE. FURTHER, HE ESTABLISHED 7 FLY BAIT STATIONS AND LED 2 WORKING PARTIES TO REMOVE WEEDS THROUGHOUT THE CAMP TO REDUCE INSECT GROWTH AND IMPROVE FIELD HYGEINE AND SANITATION. HIS EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, PERSONAL INITIATIIVE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE TECHNICIAN, MARINE WING SUPPORT SQUADRON 272, SPMAGTF CR AF ESPANA DETACHMENT FROM SEPTEMBER 2014 TO SEPTEMBER 2015. PETTY OFFICER HEVENER LED 5 CORPSMEN IN THE COMPLETION OF 188 NEURO-COGNITIVE ASSESSMENTS, 65 YELLOW SHOT CARDS, 125 PREDEPLOYMENT HEALTH ASSESSMENTS, AND 145 IMMUNIZATIONS, INCREASING MEDICAL READINESS FROM 65% TO 95%. UPON ARRIVAL IN MORON, SPAIN, HE LIAISONED WITH THE AIR FORCE TO ENSURE MORON AIR BASE UPHELD NAVY/USMC SANITATION STANDARDS, TAUGHT A TRISERVICE FOOD HANDLERS CLASS TO 30 MARINES AND MAINTAINED MEDICAL READINESS AT 95%. HIS EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, PERSONAL INITIATIIVE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE TECHNICIAN, PREVENTIVE MEDICINE DIVISION, U.S. NAVAL BRANCH HEALTH CLINIC BAHRAIN FROM FEBRUARY 2011 TO APRIL 2013. DURING THE 2011-2012 INFLUENZA MASS VACCINATION, PETTY OFFICER BECKWITH INNOCULATED 245 PATIENTS AND DOCUMENTED 2,299 ADDITIONAL IMMUNIZATIONS INTO AHLTA AND MRRS CONTRIBUTING TO 94 PERCENT ACTIVE DUTY COMPLIANCE IN LESS THAN A WEEK. AS DEPARTMENTAL SUPPLY PETTY OFFICER, HE MANAGED A BUDGET AND EQUIPMENT VALUED AT 11,500 DOLLARS AND ENSURED CONTINUOUS SUPPLY AVAILABILITY FOR FOUR DIVISIONS. ADDITIONALLY HE EDUCATED 1,227 PERSONNEL ON TUBERCULOSIS AND HEAT STRESS MANAGEMENT REDUCING RISK OF EXPOSURE AND INJURY FOR OVER 2,000 VITAL PERSONNEL. PETTY OFFICER BECKWITH'S PROFESSIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND UNSWERVING DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

PETTY OFFICER REYES ACTED INDEPENDENTLY AS THE PREVENTIVE MEDICINE SPECIALIST FOR 15 FACILITIES ON FOUR NAVAL BASES. HE REPORTED 37 COMMUNICABLE DISEASES AND CONDUCTED THREE INVESTIGATIONS ON CONFIRMED TUBERCULOSIS CASES, MAINTAINING COMPLIANCE WITH THE CENTER OF DISEASE CONTROL'S GUIDELINES. AS IMMUNIZATIONS LEADER, HE SUPERVISED 13 PERSONNEL AND MANAGED THE IMMUNIZATIONS INVENTORY VALUED AT 28,000 DOLLARS. HIS DIRECT LEADERSHIP LEAD TO THE INNOCULATION OF 3800 PATIENTS DURING THE 2010-2014 FLU SEASONS, INCREASING READINESS BY 50 PERCENT. PETTY OFFICER REYES' PROFESSIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND UNSWERVING DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

HM2 DOBSON WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN REESTABLISHING THE FOOD HANDLER COURSE AND CONDUCTING OVER 100 INSPECTIONS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF CLEANLINESS AND MEET NAVY STANDARDS. HM2 DOBSON WAS HAND SELECTED BY THE COMMAND TO FACILITATE OVER 3,000 IMMUNIZATIONS TO ACTIVE DUTY PERSONNEL AND THEIR DEPENDANTS RESULTING IN OVER 90% COMMAND READINESS.
