SSG Johnson fulfilled his role as cadre with poise, professionalism, and determination during Annual Training. He maintained accountability of his assigned equipment, displayed maturity when handling Soldier issues, and outstanding judgment in accomplishing the mission. In addition, he successfully ensured the arrival and safety of 30 recruits to their designated shipping site for departure to basic combat training and advanced individual training.

Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) Cadre

Sergeant Erlich played an integral role in recruiting, sustaining and enlisting personnel into the Virginia Army National Guard. Sergeant Erlich mentored over 100 new recruits supported by the Virginia Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion and ensured they were physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared to face the challenges of Basic Combat Training. His high level of involvement upheld the unit's high success rate and the readiness of the total force.
