HE CREATED, DEVELOPED AND DISSEMINATED TMDE TRAINING TO ALL BRIGADE MAINTENANCE SHOPS AND CALIBRATION COORDINATORS, CREATED STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES, DECREASED CUSTOMER DROP OFF TIMES, AND REDUCED TURN AROUND TIMES BY 50 PERCENT, INCREASING READINESS TO 98.5%. IN ADDITION, APPLYING LEAN PRINCIPLES, HE RESTRUCTURED THE CALIBRATION LAB'S HIGH PRIORITY VISIBILITY PROCESS, INCREASING DEPLOYING UNITS' TURN AROUND TIME BY 30 PERCENT. MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS TEST, MEASUREMENT, AND DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT (TMDE) COORDINATOR, 536TH SUPPORT MAINTENANCE COMPANY, 524TH COMBAT SUSTAINMENT SUPPORT BATTALION FROM XXXXXXXX TO XXXXXXXX. DURING THIS PERIOD, STAFF SERGEANT ALICE J. MILLER STOOD UP THE COMPANY TMDE PROGRAM. SHE SURVEYED SUPPORTED UNITS AND ACCOUNTED FOR OVER 260 ITEMS VALUED AT OVER $500,000, IDENTIFIED THE MISSION'S MOST CRITICAL PROCESSES, AND ARRANGED FOR APPROPRIATE MAINTENANCE CALIBRATION SUPPORT, REDUCING MAINTENANCE DELAYS FROM HOURS TO MINUTES. ADDITIONALLY, SHE TURNED IN 232 ITEMS OF TMDE EQUIPMENT VALUED AT OVER $350,000, REDUCING THE UNITS' MAINTENACE SUPPORT OBLIGATION BY 20 PERCENT AND SAVING THE ARMY OVER $40,OOO ANNUALLY. STAFF SERGEANT MILLER'S PROFESSIONALISM, LEADERSHIP, AND DEVOTION TO DUTY IS IN KEEPING WITH THE FINEST TRADITIONS OF MILITARY SERVICE AND REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HER, THE 524TH COMBAT SUSTAINMENT SUPPORT BATTALION AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
o Managed $750,000 TMDE account. Established strict control procedures; ensured 120 mission critical items were calibrated and available
o Enabled six maintenance shops to support 188 customer units in the completion of 3,789 work orders
o Certified over 70 items of TMDE; key to laboratory's 5 day backlog, the lowest backlog in five years
o Arranged loan of scarce resources for pre-deployment tactical training; enabled vital training and increased deployment readiness
o Identified a grounding hazard on an AH-64 specific TMDE item while deployed to Al Udied AB, Qatar
o Repaired grounding hazard on an AH-64 specific TMDE item and certified it as fully operational; ensured zero mission delays
o Repaired grounding fault on critical TMDE; prevented condemnation of the item and saved the Army $20,000 in replacement cost
