SSG King was responsible for the inspection of equipment owned and operated by the 101st ABN DIV, SFAB, 1st Armored Division, and U.S. Air Force scheduled to redeploy from Romania. His team inspected 1,200 pieces of rolling stock, 300 miscellaneous items, and 410 containers, holding up to 280,000 pieces of equipment in containers and vehicles. His efforts saved $22 million in port fees, USDA fines, and prevented the importation of agricultural contaminates, diseases, and pests into the United States with zero deficiencies.
While deployed to Kuwait in support of operation Enduring Freedom, Master Sergeant Kline managed the draw down of Customs operations and oversaw the turn-in of over 4.5 million dollars worth of accountable property as well as the disposal of over 30 TEUs.
He personally supervised the successful deployment and redeployment of 30 individuals ISO worldwide contingency operations. In addition, he displayed exceptional organizational and managerial skills far beyond his peers. During high OPTEMPO, he successfully synchronized the deployment of the XXth MP Company in support of OEF, while simultaneously setting the conditions for a smooth redeployment and reintegration of the XXXd MP Company.
Under shifting command and conditions, he organized and prepared the unit for redeployment and reintegration into central region upon completion of their 15 month deployment with zero loss of accountabilty. He provided transportation support for over 100 containers which enabled the successful deployment and redeployment of the 1st Cavalry Division, the 29th Infantry Division, and 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment without loss or damage to Army and unit property.
