Field Sanitation Award Examples

In the role of company field sanitation expert, SPC Nellis demonstrated exceptional dedication by implementing comprehensive sanitation measures for 30 soldiers. This initiative led to a significant decline in health incidents, directly contributing to enhanced operational effectiveness. SPC Nellis' leadership in sanitation practices not only ensured troop safety but also instilled a lasting commitment to hygiene within the unit.




SPC Pratt showed exceptional leadership while working Field Food Sanitation for the Field Feed Section, totaling one hundred man-hours of total time worked. He worked with an eight man KP team to keep all equipment clean and sanitized in a timely manner during cooking hours.




Specialist Butters distinguished himself by outstanding achievement while serving as Food Service Specialist, Delta company, 199th Brigade Support Battalion, Louisiana Army National Guard. During this period, Specialist Butters demonstrated tireless commitment and dedication to meet and exceed all requirements. He was instrumental in the success of 2-108th Squadron's preparation and execution of serving 300 meals a day for seven days in the field. Specialist Butters maintained the Field Sanitation Center, Containerized Kitchen (CK), and performed PMCS on assigned equipment. He was responsible for fueling MBUs, keeping the field sanitation tent operable, and filling up the water buffalo for daily operations. Specialist Butters served as Food Service Specialist with numerous additional duties such as Rations Clerk, Admin Clerk, and First Cook for the morning shift. Specialist Butters displayed hard work, diligence and pride in his duties as a Food Service Specialist in the Louisiana National Guard.
