Soldier of the Month Awards

PFC Gumby demonstrated outstanding performance at the Soldier of the Month (SOM) board in September 2024. Competing against nine other SMs, he was the only soldier to correctly answer all posed questions. In addition, he demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field, effectively guiding his driver and loader while instructing them on a variety of tasks throughout the 3-8 Cav September field event.




For outstanding professional skills and dedication. SPC Wallace achieved a milestone in her career by demonstrating her knowledge of military subjects, superb military appearance and bearing, infallible leadership ability, awareness of world events, duty performance, and overall professionalism. She sacrificed countless personal hours to prepare herself for the Soldier of the Month board, which led to her being selected over her peers as the Solider of the Month, reflecting great credit upon herself and the United States Army.




SGT Lemon set the example for all other NCOs to emulate at the HHBN Soldier of the Month Board FY 21 Q3. He sacrificed countless personal hours to prepare himself for this milestone event. His extensive knowledge of various Army topics, attention to detail, being physically and mentally tough, and impeccable military bearing set him apart from his peers and was instrumental in him winning the board. SGT Lemon's hard work and professionalism has become the new standard against which all other Soldiers will be measured in the future.




SGT Wise scored perfect on the Soldier of the month board. Extremely knowledgable on NATO and European information. Scored highest on the Soldier of the quarter board.

It highlights their superior performance in areas such as military bearing, discipline, and technical proficiency. This accolade not only brings personal pride but also fosters motivation among peers, showcasing the soldier as a role model and leader within their unit.

She sacrificed countless personal hours to prepare herself for the Special Troops Battalion (Rear) and 4th Sustainment Brigade (Provisional) quarterly/annual board, which led to her being selected over her peers as the Special Troops Battalion (Rear) and 4th Sustainment Brigade (Provisional) NCO of the Year.
