Staff Sergeant Weyland oversaw an 11 million dollar installation-wide network upgrade, where he coordinated Authorized Service Interruptions for 23 units, which facilitated the upgrade of 60 network devices and the elimination of two critical vulnerabilities. These actions improved Aviano's Joint command and control communications by increasing network speeds from one to 10 Gigabits per second. Additionally, Staff Sergeant Weyland led the Battalion's ten million dollar SCIF network refresh, expanding it to five secure locations and enabling 345 UH-60 sorties and ten thousand pilot training hours. Finally, he oversaw the installation of four kilometers of fiber optic cable, enabling the setup of two battle domains for voice and data and establishing the Battalion's first ever dedicated coalition center, allowing for no-notice and continuous collaboration with 32 NATO partners across three COCOMS.

Staff Sergeant Weyland distinguished himself in the performance of outstanding service to the United States as Cyber Defense Operations Chief while assigned to the 106th Communications Squadron, 106th Rescue Wing, Francis S. Gabreski Air National Guard Base, Westhampton Beach, New York. Sergeant Weyland's foresight and experience resulted in the upgrade of fifty percent of mission critical communications, command, control, computers, and intelligence assets before failure and arranged permanent satellite communication support which aided in zero loss of command and control of operations. Sergeant Weyland also assisted with the development of the plan to resolve manning shortfalls which yielded a 25 percent budget increase and five new hires. In addition, he completed baseline evaluations of 40 cyber personnel which enabled one hundred percent wartime readiness. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Weyland reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
As an Information Technology Specialist for the 211th Regional Training Institute (RTI), SGT Fountain demonstrated exceptional skill in maintaining, troubleshooting, and overseeing complex IT systems and infrastructures critical to mission success. He represented the 211th RTI in the state's Best Warrior competition and provided essential IT support to the regiment during his time on ADOS orders, showcasing his diverse technical capabilities and contributions to the unit's operational readiness.
SGT Fountain managed over 400 National Guard assets, including responsibilities as the Help Desk NCO, overseeing facility upgrades, Computer Life Cycle Replacement (LCR), and imaging operations. As the OPSEC NCO, his dedication enhanced the unit's security posture and readiness. As a Network Admin Cardholder and Digital Signage Admin, he was pivotal in ensuring CMF's adherence to IT policies and procedures, and contributed significantly to the unit's overall effectiveness.
SGT Fountain provided technical assistance in the power restoration of the ADA simulator, which restored five training systems and saved the Florida ARNG $40,000 in contractor repair costs. Furthermore, his collaboration with Audio/Visual contractors to develop a comprehensive LCR plan for 50+ computers resulted in significant cost savings and improved operational efficiency for the RTI.
SGT Fountain's contributions in upgrading legacy infrastructure systems, maintaining accountability, reimaging 400 systems with new SSD hard drives, and streamlining CMD intent, SHARP, and EO updates across the RTI campus reflected his commitment to excellence and mission success.
