MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS THE SUPERVISOR OF SECURITY ADMIN AND THE VISITOR CONTROL CENTER FROM APRIL 2020 TO APRIL 2021. PETTY OFFICER PHILLIPS LED ONE MILITARY AND THREE CIVILIAN PERSONNEL AS THE ACCESS CONTROL LIST COORDINATOR AND SUPERVISED THE METICULOUS VERIFICATION OF OVER 1200 PERSONNEL REQUIRING A BACKGROUND AND CLEARANCE CHECK PRIOR TO OBTAINING ACCESS TO THE INSTALLATION. ADDITIONALLY, HE OVERSAW THE CREATION, PROCESSING, AND TRACKING OF OVER 2,000 PIECES OF CORRESPONDENCE, GREATLY INCREASING ACCURACY AND COMPLIANCE WITH INSTRUCTIONS AND DIRECTIVES. MOREOVER, HIS CONTINUED EFFORTS HAVE CONSISTENTLY PROVEN INVALUABLE, ENSURING GOOD ORDER AND DISCIPLINE THROUGHOUT NSA-MID-SOUTH. FINALLY, PETTY OFFICER PHILLIPS WAS INSTRUMENTAL TO THE SECURITY DEPARTMENT DURING RASS WHICH ENCOMPASSED A WEEK OF DRILLS AND ENSURED AN OVERALL PASSING GRADE FOR RASS. BY HIS UNSWERVING DETERMINATION, WISE JUDGEMENT, AND COMPLETE DEDICATION TO DUTY, PETTY OFFICER PHILLIPS REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
Staff Sergeant Nathaniel Niederbrach distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Flight Chief, Detachment Two, 18th Force Support Squadron, 18th Mission Support Group, 18th Wing, Kadena Air Base, Japan. In this important assignment, Sergeant Niederbrach served as the first ever NCOIC of Visitor Control at Bellows Air Force Station. He processed over five thousand individual guest sponsorship passes and supported more than 500 special events attended by more than ten thousand people. Additionally, as the installation Antiterrorism Officer, he revised all Operating Instructions, training plans, and self inspection checklists, improving efficiency and garnering "Excellent" ratings on all Wing inspections. Further, he deployed to Camp Bucca, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi freedom and served as the NCOIC of the Visitation Section's RAM team where he completed over 20 projects to improve security of the local population and allied forces. Finally, Sergeant Niederbrach's superb leadership was indispensable to his flight being selected as "Flight of the Quarter" for three consecutive quarters. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Niederbrach reflect credit upon himself, the 18th Force Support Squadron and the United States Air Force.
