Counseling for Speeding

PFC _ _ _ _,

This counseling is to inform you that the 523rd CTC Company Commander (CPT _ _ _ _ _ _) has suspended your driving privileges on JBLM for two weeks from the date of this counseling (28 March 2020 to 10 April 2020). This suspension is the culmination of the speeding incident you were involved in on 25 March 2020 and the reckless driving incident you were also involved in on 27 March 2020.

Driving on base is a privilege and not a right. You can easily lose post driving privileges for 6 months or a year for speeding violations alone. Losing your driving privileges does not relieve you of your responsibilities and will not be considered as a valid excuse for being late or absent. As an 88M, our driving privileges are our livelihood. If those privileges are suspended, we cannot do our job effectively. This degrades unit cohesion, capability and mission readiness. We cannot afford to have our Soldiers lose their driving privileges. Failure to comply with this order will result in further and more serious UCMJ consequences.
