Motorpool Initial Counseling

SPC Sinatra, this is your initial counseling for July 2024. I will be outlining what is expected of you in this unit. Let me know if you are confused or do not understand some of the key points that are going to be discussed.

- ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY: Report 10 minutes prior to all formations and always remember that being on time demonstrates professionalism. If you are running late, always let me know. If you are late you will receive a negative counseling statement.

- MILITARY APPEARANCE: SPC Sinatra, you are expected to maintain a clean and serviceable uniform at all times. Appearance is important in the military and it shows professionalism and military bearing.

- ACFT/WEAPONS: PT is mandatory. You are expected to take and pass the PT test twice a year. You are expected to have self-discipline to maintain the Army's required level of fitness and ensure that you pass height and weight. Failure to meet fitness standards will affect your career in a negative way. I suggest you refer to FM 7-22 as a guide to make sure that you are doing the PRT exercises correctly. Each time we go to the range you are expected to shoot and qualify. While at the range, you are expected to comply with the laws and regulations given by the Officer in-charge.

- WORK TIMELINE: We have accountability formation at 0630, Monday through Friday. Every Monday at 0900 we have Battalion formation. Work call for the motorpool is also 0900. If you are running late, always let me know. If you are late, you will receive a negative counseling statement.

- DUTIES: Safety is important. While working in the motorpool, I expect you to take proper precautions. Wear your eye and ear protection at all times. Always use the appropriate Technical Manual when working at the motorpool. If you are performing a simple task, ensure your TM is readily available even if you think you are not going to need it.

- OFF DUTY: You are expected to show respect even after working hours. Remember that you are part of a great organization and you represent the U.S Army wherever you go. Know and live by the Army values.

- APPOINTMENTS: SPC Sinatra, make sure that when you schedule appointments, you let me know and I suggest that you print out a copy of your appointment slip. I also suggest that you make notifications on your calender as well.

- NEXT COUNSELING SESSION: Please print your ERB, LES, and MEDPROS. My contact information: Phone (123) 456-7890.
