Private First Class Castillo, this counseling is to inform you that you have been selected to attend the Soldier of the Month board. You have shown tremendous service and have been recognized by your leaders. Throughout your time in the Headquarters platoon, you spent multiple hours supporting the Supply Sergeant by sorting and organizing her supply room, learning about the Unit history on your own time, and volunteering for all tasks before anyone else. All these attributes show that you are a competent and dependable Soldier. Allowing yourself time to develop and learn from your achievements and mistakes demonstrates why you have the potential and tenacity to prove yourself as a worthy contender for the title, "Soldier of the Month". While the company is preparing for NTC, mentioning that you want to attend a S.O.M board before the First Sergeant suggests who will attend separates you from your peers and is an excellent reason why you have been chosen to compete in the next Soldier of the month board.
