For outstanding meritorious service while serving as First Sergeant of Alpha Company 148th BSB, 48th IBCT from insert dates. First Sergeant Braziel consistently performed his demanding duties in a highly professional manner. His leadership directly led to the successful accomplishment of all missions, to include four rotations of XCTC and War Fighters, supporting unit training, and providing community outreach and building a rapport with the city of Dublin. First Sergeant Braziel supervised and directed numerous lateral transfers, fuel and transportation missions. In addition, his efforts and abilities were critical in the unit receiving mission capable grades during four major inspections to include the CLRT. His efforts and abilities were critical in the unit's ability to complete missions. Recognizing manpower limitations on the staff, First Sergeant Braziel personally assumed responsibilities and duties on off IDT training in order to meet mission. First Sergeant Braziel's outstanding leadership, commendable initiative and total dedication to duty reflects great credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Georgia Army National Guard and the United States of America.

SPC SMITH CONTRIBUTED GREATLY TO THE SUCCESS OF OPERATION BY ENSURING ALL VEHICLES WERE FULLY MISSION CAPABLE, RESULTING IN AN OVERALL SAFE COMPLETION OF 54,000 MILES. SPC SMITH ACTED ABOVE HIS PAY GRADE BY LEADING THE MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS FOR HIS ASSIGNED CONVOYS AND WAS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE MISSION. For meritorious service as Chief, Evaluation Reports branch, Personnel Services Division, Office of the Adjutant General, for the period 1 May 2008 to 20 July 2009. Warrant Officer Smith distinguished himself by assuming responsibility for the timely submission of the 2nd Infantry Division Officer Evaluation Reports during a period when the percentage of overdue reports exceeded all previous records. He developed a systematic and comprehensive system of review and timely notification of subordinate units thus ensuring the prompt submission of required reports. The 2nd Infantry Division now has the lowest percentage of overdue reports in the entire Eighth Army and continues to receive recognition from Higher Headquarters for sustaining this remarkable achievement. Warrant Officer Smith's devotion to duty, perseverance, and exemplary performance reflect great credit upon himself, the 2nd Infantry Division, and the united States Army.




OUTSANDING MERITORIOUS SERIVCE WHILE SERVING AS THE SOLE MEDICAL OFFICER FOR MACG-28 WHILE FORWARD DEPLOYED IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM 13.2 FROM JUNE 2013 THORUGH FEBRUARY 2014. HE OVERSAW 244 MARINES IN THE UNIT AND SERVED AS IMMEDIDATE SUPERVISOR FOR FOUR GENERAL MEDICAL OFFICERS AND THEIR UNITS, TOTALING OVER 700 MARINES. HE MAINTAINED A READINESS OF 98 PERCENT AND TRAINED AND CERTIFIED 58 U.S. MARINES TO BE COMBAT LIFE SAVERS. IN ADDITION TO THE AUSTERE WORK ENVIRONMENT, HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY, ASSISTING WHENEVER POSSIBLE AT CAMP BASTION, ROLE III. HE GENERATED OVER 250 PATIENT ENCOUNTERS, TREATING FRIEND AND FOE ALIKE. HIS RELENTLESS WORK ETHIC AND DEDICATION RETURNED 155 MEMBERS HOME SAFELY TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HE TRULY REPRESENTS OUR MILITARY IN THE MOST HOSTILE OF ENVIRONMENTS. BY HIS EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY, LIEUTENANT LAW REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPDHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICES.
