Duty Descriptions

12T40/Senior Technical Engineer NCO
Supervises or participates in construction site development to include technical investigation, surveying, drafting, development of construction plans and specifications and quality control; analyzes and interprets field and laboratory tests on construction materials, construction and geodetic surveys, and drafting for military construction; develops work schedules; determines soil stabilization method for construction use; supervises engineering activities relating to construction and geodetic surveying; compiles technical information and supervises subordinate personnel; prepares project progress reports and conducts project briefings.




Technical Engineer NCO
Serves as Technical Engineer NCO for the 130th Engineer Brigade; supervises construction and airfield site development; establishes permanent survey control stations; validates GPS survey data; reconnoiters construction sites and surveys to determine special requirements; stabilizes site soil and grade for military construction; produces construction plans and schedules; performs quality control inspections; evaluates construction materials; performs construction surveying, geodetic surveying, and computer aided drafting; chooses concrete and asphalt mixtures; reviews construction progress and adjusts efforts as needed.




12T30/Technical Engineer NCO
Supervises or participates in construction site development; schedules and performs quality control inspections; supervises technical engineering activities relating to construction surveying, drafting and testing of construction materials; plans, directs, inspects, and performs technical site development activities; performs reconnaissance duties at survey sites to determine special requirements; plans and organizes work activities; collects available charts, maps, control lists, aerial photographs and other topographic data necessary to maintain a deployable database; disseminates survey data; serves as technical authority in all survey matters.




12T20/Technical Engineer Sergeant
Supervises and participates in construction site development to include technical investigation, surveying, and drafting, development of construction plans and specifications and performing quality control inspections; performs field and laboratory testing on construction materials, construction and geodetic surveys and design drafting for military construction; processes CAD data into final product and transfers, processes and adjusts GPS data using survey software and computer systems.
