Barracks Management Duty Descriptions


Senior NCO of the First Sergeant's Barracks Program (FSBP)
Serves as the Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the First Sergeant's Barracks Program (FSBP) under the direction of the Chief of Housing Division and Housing Sergeant Major; performs as the FSBP NCOIC exercising responsibility and general military authority for the command and control of 09 White Cycle and Soldier Skill Set Utilization Program Soldiers; reports to the Chief of FSBP concerning any issues and/or problems involving the White Cycle Soldiers tasked to support FSBP; resolves those issues and/or problems and provides feedback to the Chief FSBP and Housing SGM on that topic; monitors the training and quality of work of those Soldiers and articulates guidance as required; coordinates the changeover of those Soldiers and ensures a seamless transition of incoming Soldiers; assists the FSBP leadership with or conducts transition briefing; acts in the capacity of Liaison Officer between FSBP, the Soldier and Unit Leadership in conjunction with the respective Barracks or Area Managers.


NCOIC, Fort Hood Community Life Program
Serves as NCOIC in the Fort Hood Community Life Program; administratively responsible for over 24,000 living quarters; supervises, trains, and mentors multiple NCO s; serves as the quality control expert for the Housing Office; develops and executes inspection plans to ensure compliance with all regulations; coordinates with leaders at all levels, government staff, housing contractor staff, and post agencies; provides oversight of 13 village Mayors; tracks and organizes annual village Mayoral elections; attends quarterly town hall meetings; seeks to improve safety, security, and welfare for all residents.


Barracks Management NCO
Performs billeting operations to include personnel checks, reservation management, revenue accountability and customer support; responsible for assigning troop housing, issuing and clearing of non-tenant facilities and property accountability within the Training Center facilities; administers guidance to the custodial personnel in their duties; issues and receives dining facilities and classrooms, insuring inventory is correct and sanitation checks are complete; assists the full time staff with supply functions.


Barracks Manager
Responsible for 2nd BDE Unaccompanied Housing assignments for 1424 individual living spaces and clearing procedures; maintains and inventories furniture and equipment worth in excess of $450,000; coordinates daily escorts for maintenance contractors; maintains two SAFLOK room key issue systems and two door lock programmers valued at $25,000; reports weekly status on man hours used to maintain Single Soldier housing to the Department of Defense.
