Voting Assistance Officer (VAO)
Serves as unit Voting Assistance Officer; assists Soldiers, civilians, and dependents in registering to vote; integrates with in-processing to ensure 100% coverage; publishes voting schedules for all states and territories; assists members in requesting absentee ballots; maintains forms and instructions for all states and territories; aids in Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) submission; tracks unit member participation in voting process and maintains voting program metrics.




Voting Assistance Officer (VAO)
Serves as unit Voting Assistance Officer; assists service members, their families, and overseas citizens in exercising their voting rights; educates unit members on their voting eligibility and rights; informs service members on how to register to vote absentee; assist members (military and overseas citizens) in requesting and returning absentee ballots; provides access to accurate and nonpartisan voting information and assistance; maintains information on state-specific rules, processes, election dates, and deadlines.
