He spent 48 man-hours, many of which were after-hours, leading the effort in the meticulous organizing, processing and printing of 1,733 pieces of awards correspondence for signature and presentation. His perseverance was instrumental to the issuance of over 400 joint service and combat awards, ensuring that personnel from three downrange units and one local task force received their award recognition prior to their imminent departures from theater. He was the vital link in all awards matters which consisted of proper adherence to the Commander's award policies and the lateral limits for expedited joint and service awards. His actions resulted in one hundred percent completion of the Commander's awards request and saved two weeks of processing time. Furthermore, his flawless management of the Commanding General's Wartime Awards Program resulted in the joint command's ability to conduct a time-sensitive, General Officer task, to recognize and award hundreds of redeploying personnel.
