Battle NCO Awards

Staff Sergeant Champion demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication while serving as the Battle NCO during a demanding 12-day, 12 hour night shifts, executing sustainment support operations for 2CAB and simulated 16CAB. Over this period, he meticulously planned and coordinated logistics for all Forward Arming and Refueling Points (FARPs) and three critical air assaults, ensuring seamless operational readiness and mission success.

SSG Champion not only supported and provided guidance to his Battle Captain, but also mentored Junior Enlisted Soldiers who function in the Battalion Staff sections who served crucially in all intel, communications, and supply operations of all tasks executed.




SSG Smith served as the Battle Staff NCO for Task Force Volcano while on the South West Border Mission in support of Joint Task Force North, the Department of Homeland Security, and the United Stated Border Patrol. He ensured proper reporting procedures were upheld in order to retain resources to meet mission requirements and support the health and welfare for joint service members across the joint operating area. He processed and ensured resolve for serious incidents and significant action reports across the South West Border Mission.
