MOS 12H Construction Engineering Supervisor Awards

Construction NCOIC

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES AS THE ARMY ENGINEER NCOIC FROM 20 OCTOBER 2022 TO 22 MARCH 2023. AS NCOIC, HE EFFICIENTLY LED HIS TEAM IN A JOINT SERVICE EVOLUTION, CONSISTING OF SEABEES AND ARMY AND AIR FORCE ENGINEERS TO CONSTRUCT A 1,850 SQUARE FOOT LAUNDRY FACILITY. LEVERAGING THEIR UNIQUE SKILLS, HIS TEAM WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION OF 6,980 LINEAR FEET OF STEEL REINFORCEMENT FOR THE FACILITY'S FOUNDATION, POSITIONING THE PROJECT FOR COMPLETION 30 DAYS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. IN ADDITION, HE DEMONSTRATED HIS COMMITMENT TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT BY DEVOTING HIS OFF-DUTY TIME TO ASSIST MEMBERS WITH CONSTRUCTION TRAINING TO FURTHER THEIR KNOWLEDGE. STAFF SERGEANT LINCOLN'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE AND DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT ON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY.

Construction Supervisor

During this period, Sergeant Jackon coordinated construction management and provided engineering assistance for over 50 projects. Sergeant Jackon provided direct Contracting Officer Representative duties for nine critical projects valued at more than 1,500,000 dollars and developed design documents for 12 projects with a value of over 4,000,000 dollars. His exhaustive efforts in managing local national contractors and in streamlining base access requirements were critical to the success of the priority RCP expansion, BDE TOC, and CRSP Yard projects. In addition, his keen observation and attention to detail identified a key structural failure in the BDE TOC facility which prevented a grave potential for personal injury and mission failure. Sergeant Jackon's extraordinary efforts and accomplishments during this period reflect credit upon himself, the 328th Engineer Company, and the United States Army.

Contract Project Manager

MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE ASSIGNED AS A RESIDENT ENGINEER FOR THE HUNTINGTON DISTRICT, UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS FROM JULY 2013 TO JUNE 2015. CAPTAIN LORRAINE'S DEDICATED SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM WHILE OVERSEEING PROJECTS VALUED AT OVER 30 MILLION DOLLARS WAS CRITICAL TO ENSURING THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF ALL ASSIGNED WORK ON TIME AND UNDER BUDGET. CAPTAIN LORRAINE'S ABILITY TO MANAGE MULTIPLE COMPLEX MISSIONS WHILE MAINTAINING OPERATIONAL CONTROL WAS EXEMPLIFIED BY HIS EFFORTS DURING THE CHIEF OF ENGINEERS VISIT, WHERE HE COORDINATED AVIATION SUPPORT, PLANNED PROJECT VISITS, AND BRIEFED THE STATUS OF THE DOVER DAM PROJECT TO THE CHIEF. CAPTAIN LORRAINE'S DEVOTION TO DUTY AND SELFLESS SERVICE REFLECT GREAT CREDIT ON HIMSELF, THE UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.


Construction Engineering Supervisor

Staff Sergeant Smith ably led a team of over 25 Construction Engineers in a forward deployed location for more than eight weeks working with numerous coalition forces as well as other United States Agencies. Due to his extensive construction background Staff Sergeant Smith was pivotal in developing courses of action that allowed his squad to overcome building material constraints that would have otherwise halted operations. Because of Staff Sergeant Smith's dedication to mission and soldier welfare his team was able to build $584,000 facility in the allotted time without incident.


Construction Engineering Supervisor

Sergeant First Class Reeves was responsible for the planning and execution of a $1.5 million construction effort, utilizing over 99 personnel. His superior management and direction ensured the proper displacement of approximately 3,400 cubic yards of soil, the precise delivery of over 2,000 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course and the efficient pour of more than 5,000 cubic yards of concrete. Sergeant Reeves' performance reflects great credit upon himself, the 643rd Engineer Company and the United States Army.


Team Chief

For exceptionally meritorious service as Team Chief, 22nd Engineer Brigade from 11 November 2011 to 11 April 2013. MSG Truman's astute guidance resulted in excellent engineering support to his battalion during an ARTEP, CAPEX, and a six month construction project. His outstanding management skills ensured continued mission accomplishment by this diverse unit and its consolidated dining facility. His ability to balance his responsibilities as Team Chief, CESO, and Dining Facility Supervisor resulted in maximum readiness for the unit. MSG Truman's performance brings distinct credit upon himself, the 22nd Engineer Brigade, and the United States Army.


Training NCO

SSG Calley effectively led 6 Soldiers to establish a centralized company command post which facilitated, for the first time, the ability to track the training and construction project metrics across the entire Task Force. Involved with every project within the province, SSG Calley skillfully assisted every element in TASK FORCE WILDCAT to establish their respective reporting and recording procedures. His actions reflect proudly on the fighting spirit of 649TH EN CO (HZ) and the 579TH EN BN.
