MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS POWERPLANTS SUPERVISOR AT STRIKE FIGHTER SQUADRON ONE TWO FIVE FROM JANUARY 2020 TO DECEMBER 2022. PETTY OFFICER SULLIVAN DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL INITIATIVE AND SUPERB ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN THE SUPERVISION AND TRAINING OF 37 POWERPLANTS PERSONNEL. HIS EXCEPTIONAL ENTHUSIASM, OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP FACILITATED THE SAFE AND TIMELY REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF 178 GE-F404-400 ENGINES AND 14 FUEL CELL RELATED SYSTEM COMPONENTS, WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO THE SQUADRON'S REMARKABLE 96 PERCENT SORTIE COMPLETION RATE AND THE QUALIFICATION OF 55 FLEET REPLACEMENT PILOTS. ADDITIONALLY, HIS DEVOTION TO THE TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF OTHERS WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE INCREASED OVERALL TRAINING READINESS FOR POWERPLANTS WORK CENTER AND THE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT. PETTY OFFICER SULLIVAN'S PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND UNSWERVING DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




Airman First Class Brandon M. Bauman distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Aerospace Propulsion Journeyman, 33rd Helicopter Maintenance Unit, 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 18th Maintenance Group, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan from 11 February 2018 to 20 March 2021. During this period, Airman Bauman completed a dual engine rebuild in only six days, exceeding the 14-day standard and contributing to meeting the aircraft spare allocation for Operation Enduring Freedom. Additionally, during an engine removal, he identified and replaced a corroded tourque shaft, preventing catastrophic engine failure and directly contributing to the unit's one hundred percent mission effectiveness rating for the first quarter. Moreover, after an engine hot start protection fail, Airman Bauman identified and replaced a fuel control, restoring the engine and aiding in a mission capable rate of 97 percent and the award of Aircraft Maintenance Unit of the year. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman First Class Bauman reflect credit upon himself, the 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and the United States Air Force.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS POWER PLANTS AUXILIARY POWER UNIT SHOP LEADING PETTY OFFICER, INSTRUCTOR AND COLLATERAL DUTY INSPECTOR FOR FLEET READINESS CENTER MID-ATLANTIC OCEANA FROM SEPTEMBER 2019 TO AUGUST 2022. PETTY OFFICER TYLER DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL EFFICIENCY IN THE DIRECTION OF NINE PERSONNEL IN THE COMPLETION OF 1,122 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS AND THE TEST AND REPAIR 107 GTC36-200 AUXILIARY POWER UNITS, SAVING THE NAVY 14 MILLION DOLLARS IN DEPOT-LEVEL REPAIRS. ADDITIONALLY, HIS ACTIONS RESULTED IN THE QUALIFICATION OF FIVE PERSONNEL AS A/E37T-26A TEST CELL OPERATORS AND CERTIFIED THREE COLLATERAL DUTY INSPECTORS, INCREASING SHOP CAPABILITIES BY 50 PERCENT. FURTHER, HE EFFECTIVELY MANAGED THE WORKCENTER TOOL CONTROL AND CALIBRATION PROGRAMS, GARNERING SUPERIOR RATINGS DURING THE LAST THREE AUDITS. AVIATION MACHINISTS MATE FIRST CLASS TYLER'S SUPERIOR PROFESSIONALISM, EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




SGT JoeBob stood out as a subject matter expert on the General Electric T-701 turbo shaft engine. Sgt JoeBob trained and mentored three Soldiers on how to properly maintain, troubleshoot, and repair problems with the engine. Sgt JoeBob performed four phases in his time with (unit) ensuring that the engines were inspected and returned back to the phase team in a timely manner.
