SPC Meigs' expertise, commitment, and mission first attitude allowed him to accomplish 400-man hours of aircraft maintenance on the Aviation Company's (AVCO) four UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters located at South Camp. His hard work and dedication were crucial in the timely completion of 50 work-orders supporting unit readiness. His persistence in following through with all maintenance procedures ensured AVCO's accomplishment of its aerial missions in support of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) with an 85% OR rate.
While performing duties as an Aviation Powerplant Mechanic, PFC Night used his troubleshooting abilities to help fix an undiagnosed powerplant fault, which resulted in the aircraft being returned to a Fully Mission Capable status. His initiative, resourcefulness, and untiring efforts to achieve perfection in all areas of his duties resulted in an increased Operational Readiness Rate for C Co. 3/169 GSAB. During annual training, PFC Night continuously provided support to other repair sections to further his knowledge of the intricacies associated with the UH-60 Blackhawk platform. PFC Night's professionalism and eagerness to learn set a high example for fellow soldiers and leaders alike. Over the duration of the annual training exercise, PFC Night continually demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and professional ability while performing all duties assigned, significantly assisting Senior Staff to focus on overall soldier picture and training.
