SUBJECT: Request for Mileage Increase or Special Duty Election for SSG Jonny J. Appleseed (123-45-6789)
1. I elect to travel 400 miles from my residence to serve in a duty position to which I'm selected for promotion.
2. I understand that, with the exception of Drill Sergeant, I will be considered for all special duty assignments within my elected commuting distance which include: Observer Controller, First Sergeant or Instructor. If selected for a special duty assignment and I decline to attend or fail school training associated with a special duty selection I will be administratively removed from the PPRL and must re-compete for promotion consideration. If promoted and I decline to attend or fail school training I understand I will be administratively reduced.
