SUBJECT: Request for Exception to Policy (ETP) for RANK LAST, FIRST
1. Request an exception to the provisions of AR 420-1 requiring bona-fide bachelors E5 and below to reside in Unaccompanied Housing in CONUS. This request is to allow me, RANK LAST, FIRST SSN: 123-45-6789, to reside off-post and receive Basic Allowance for Housing at the Without Dependents rate.
2. SUPPORTING INFORMATION (space is not available; was issued a Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA); barracks is so crowded that most occupants share a room; Sergeants are accustomed to a higher standard of living; to enforce the separation between NCOs and those they lead; etc).
3. If approved, I understand that the exception will expire NLT 12 months from the date of issue and that I may be directed to return to Unaccompanied Housing at any time during the term of this exception.
